Practitioner Training Requirements
Practitioner Training is completed as two courses, Practitioner I & Practitioner II, over a two year period. Each course begins in Fall term, lasts 30 weeks, and culminates in a required end-of-year retreat.
Students who have completed the 6 required prerequisite courses can apply for entry into Practitioner Training through the Online Education Program. Students who apply are required to complete the steps listed below as part of the application process.
1.) Online Education Program Practitioner Training Application. Please select your application from the following options:
- Practitioner Training Year I Application. This application is for students entering into year one of Practitioner Training.
- Practitioner Training Year II Continuing Students Application. This application is for students entering into year two of Practitioner training who completed year one of practitioner training through the online program.
- Practitioner Training Year II New Students Application. This application is for students entering into year two of Practitioner training who completed year one of Practitioner training outside of the online program through a local center.
Applications can be submitted to the Online Education Coordinator.
2.) At least 2 Letters of Recommendation, with at least one recommendation coming from a Minister. Additional letters of recommendation can be submitted by previous instructors or Practitioners. Instructions on how to submit the letters of recommendation are listed on the entrance application.
3.) Interview with Practitioner Training Instructor. All students are required to complete an interview with the Practitioner Training Instructor prior to entry into the course.
Interview scheduling will be available after July 16. Please check back here after that date. Students are required to complete their interviews by September 7.
Registration for Fall term will open August 1. Once the above requirements have been completed, students can register for the Practitioner Training course online through the registration website (see Upcoming Courses.) Tuition for the course will include all additional fees, including the retreat fee for the required end-of-year retreat. Students can choose to pay the tuition in full at the time of registration, or can elect to utilize a payment plan, which will include additional processing fees.

End-of-Year In-Person Retreat
Students who complete Practitioner Training through the CSL Online Education Program are required to attend an End-of-Year Retreat in-person, for each year of Practitioner Training.
Retreat fees are included in the tuition for the Practitioner course. However, students will need to provide and coordinate their own travel & lodging. Some meals will be catered over the retreat weekend, but not all.
