The Island Nation of\nPalau, which relies primarily on tourism for its economy, is the first country\nto institute an eco-pledge upon arrival in the country. When tourists arrive in\nPalau they receive a stamped pledge, as opposed to the typical entry stamp, that\nlooks like a poem, with a set of vows to the youth of Palau. The enter the\ncountry, everyone must sign off on promises to \u201ctread lightly, act kindly, and\nexplore mindfully.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
