The Prez Report
By Rev. Dr. John B. Waterhouse, President
Change is upon us and as students of the Science of Mind, we all know that change is evidence of the creative nature of life. So with this in mind, here are some of the changes occurring within our organization. As most of you know, Rev. Gregory Toole has completed his service as Director of Education and Member Support. We celebrate Rev. Gregory’s accomplishments and know that he will experience great success in all his future endeavors. Our Leadership Council has chosen not to fill this open position, but rather to study the structure of our organization over the next 18 to 24 months.
Also, we have three additions to our staff. Dr. Jaine Ryder is now our Manager of Licensing and Credentialing, Rev. Nichole Mergers is our Manager of Spiritual Development Education and Rev. Mark Gilbert has stepped into the part-time position of Global Services Coordinator. We welcome all three into our Home Office community.
We welcome with great delight 34 newly licensed ministers who completed their 400 Intensive this summer in Los Angeles. Also, 20 additional ministerial graduates sat for their licensing panels in Santa Rosa, CA in early August.
Several new Member Communities have joined Centers for Spiritual Living. Those whose initial application has been recently approved are:
- Center for Spiritual Living, Leesburg, VA – Rev. Sunday Cote
- Institute for Richer Living Focus Ministry – Rev. Marilyn Lewis and Rev. Jodi Stevenson
- Intention Wise Focus Ministry – Rev. Kathy Young
- Spirit Education Focus Ministry – Rev. Jim Starke
Those receiving final approval are:
- Virtual Center for Spiritual Living, Teaching Chapter – Cliff Rubin, RScP
- Center for Spiritual Living, Fayetteville, NC – Marie Kirkland, RScP
- Discovery Centre for Spiritual Living, Calgary, Alberta – Revs. JK Bryant and Gabriella Enyedvary
- Center for Spiritual Living, Ojai, CA – Rev. Marilyn Miller
Some international news -- we have established new Study Groups in Australia and Ireland.
Congratulations to us all as we continue to grow and prosper!
So many blessings!
