A keen sense of humor and the ability to recognize appropriate distribution would be a helpful characteristic in this Volunteer.
The Do You Know project could be a welcomed, fun way to communicate to our communities and have something that they would look forward to hearing about without taking more than a couple of minutes of the reader’s schedule.

Utilize the new manual for the Small Library Organizer and follow directions to input all the books into the database by scanning the barcodes on the books (if they have them), and/or look them up through the database through the Library of Congress and find their LOC code, print off labels and put them on the spine of the books. Eventually, we will put all the books in their individual collection in order by their Library of Congress number.
This position the Volunteer will be detailed oriented, enjoy organizing and categorizing, comfortable with data entry
This position will assist the Science of Mind Library and Archives developing into a working Library. Be part of history!
Individual that will work with Team Coordinator to contact individual communities, using a short script for leaving messages or short conversation, advising the communities of events, quick information or phone numbers, etc. Depending on the size of the team, we are hoping the Volunteer would make approximately 10-15 calls per week – taking about 1 hour of conversation per week. There will be training by the coordinator to make sure the Volunteer is comfortable with the phone conversation and how to pass any needed further conversation back to Home Office.

The Coordinator will provide the phone numbers and short script to the Volunteers weekly. The Volunteer will need to be able to call long distance without charges to their phone and to commit to making the calls within a short given of time.
This position requires the Volunteer to have a comfort level with making phone calls, communicating the designed script and emailing the small amount of data back to the Coordinator at Home Office.
This work is designed to inform our communities in a personal way (by phone) and to reach out to our communities to bridge communication in a new way to our communities. Most of the time we are simply leaving a message , occasionally have a nice short conversation with them and also being open to finding a resource for some information needed by those that we are calling. Often it allows the opportunity for the person we call to start discussing something they were questioning (such as a process) and it allows us to find the answer for them or connect them to the staff person who can assist them.
Individual that will work with all Departments, Committees and Commissions to make webinars that are instructional, informative and/ or motivational for our Ministers and Centers

Coordinate the process to record, edit and post webinars. Create standard formats and processes for recordings. Work with web team and marketing.
This position requires the Volunteer to have prior knowledge/ experience in the technology of putting together and developing webinars.
Webinars will have an impact to reaching / teaching / training the trainers as we go forward in being a resource to our communities as well as developing our programs from Home Office.
