Practitioner Training Requirements

The Application period for Practitioner Training Fall 2019 does not open until July 2019.  Please do NOT start any paperwork until this time as all registration requirements are subject to change for the upcoming year.

Practitioner Training is completed as two courses, Practitioner I & Practitioner II, over a two year period.  Each course begins in Fall term, lasts 30 weeks, and culminates in a required end-of-year retreat.

Students who have completed the 6 required prerequisite courses can apply for entry into Practitioner Training through the Online Education Program.  Students who apply are required to complete the steps listed below as part of the application process.

1.) Letter of Consent to Attend Online Practitioner Program.  All students who are members of a Centers for Spiritual Living Community are required to have a Letter of Consent on file from their Senior Minister to attend Practitioner Training through the Online Program.  Please note that this consent differs from the consent to complete all other certificated courses through the Online Program.

2.) Online Education Program Practitioner Training Application.  Please select your application from the following options:

Applications can be submitted to the Online Education Coordinator.

2.) At least 2 Letters of Recommendation, with at least one recommendation coming from a Minister.  Additional letters of recommendation can be submitted by previous instructors or Practitioners. Instructions on how to submit the letters of recommendation are listed on the entrance application.

3.) Interview with Practitioner Training Instructor.  All students are required to complete an interview with the Practitioner Training Instructor prior to entry into the course.

Registration for Fall term opens August 1st.  Once the above requirements have been completed, students can register for the Practitioner Training course (see Upcoming Courses for details)  Tuition for the course will include all additional fees, including the retreat fee for the required end-of-year retreat.  Students can choose to pay the tuition in full at the time of registration, or can elect to utilize a payment plan, which will include additional processing fees.


Practitioner Course Tuition

Students have 2 options for payment of tuition for Practitioner Training courses.

1.) Payment in full at the time of registration.
Students can elect to pay the tuition and fees in full for the year at the time of registration (including registration, technology & retreat fees).
Total tuition when paid in full at the time of registration = $1200

2.) Payment Plan
Students can elect to pay the tuition and fees in 3 installments, paid out the first week of each term.  Please note all Payment Plans include a non-refundable payment plan fee.
Total tuition when paid utilizing a payment plan = $1300 ($433.33 per term).

End-of-Year In-Person Retreat


Students who complete Practitioner Training through the CSL Online Education Program are required to attend an End-of-Year Retreat in-person, for each year of Practitioner Training.

Retreat fees are included in the tuition for the Practitioner course.  However, students will need to provide and coordinate their own travel & lodging.  Some meals will be provided over the retreat weekend, but not all.
