What is a practitioner?\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h1>\n

A Centers for Spiritual Living Licensed Spiritual Practitioner<\/b>\u00a0is a person of high spiritual consciousness and deep understanding of the spiritual nature of Life; a deep and personal relationship with the Divine is prominent. The Licensed Spiritual Practitioner is trained in the study of the Science of Mind, and in the art, science and skill of Spiritual Mind Treatment, also known as Affirmative Prayer. Licensed Spiritual Practitioners are dedicated to sacred service, licensed to practice professionally, and bound by a high code of ethics while providing a safe and confidential space for clients.<\/p>\n<\/div>

What does it take to become a Practitioner?<\/h2><\/div>

To become a CSL Licensed Spiritual Practitioner<\/b>\u00a0a person must complete a rigorous multi-year required course of study, pass a comprehensive background check and written exam, and be approved by an oral panel consisting of ministers and practitioners. Their licenses are renewed every other year after approval of required continuing education credits and service hours within a CSL-Affiliated Community.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Students who have completed the required six prerequisite courses<\/strong> can qualify for entry into Professional Practitioner Training.\u00a0 <\/span>Once completing this training program the student must pass a written exam and an oral panel before being licensed by Centers for Spiritual Living.<\/p>\n

How do I take classes to become a practitioner?<\/h2><\/div>

Both prerequisite classes and the Practitioner Training Program are offered through local CSL affiliated member communities, as well as through CSL Online Education. If you are affiliated with one of these communities, we suggest reaching out to your community.\u00a0 <\/span>If you are not affiliated or are looking for classes that are not currently being offered at your community you may want to take a look at the current classes offered online through CSL Online Education<\/a><\/b>. <\/b>Anyone can register for prerequisite classes<\/a><\/strong> online. Once you have completed your prerequisites you may apply to enter practitioner training either through your local community or through CSL Online Education.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

How is the Program Structured?<\/h2><\/div>

The Practitioner Training Program is offered in two courses, Advanced Consciousness Studies (formerly Prac I) and Professional Practitioner Studies (formerly Prac II). Both courses may be taken either through a Member Community or through the Centers for Spiritual Living Online Education Program.<\/p>\n

Anyone is eligible to apply for Advanced Consciousness Studies who has completed 3 prerequisite courses* either through their local member community or through the Online Education Program.<\/p>\n

Those looking to continue on into Professional Practitioner Studies must have completed all 6 prerequisite courses and the Advanced Consciousness Studies course.\u00a0 <\/span>More info on prerequisite requirements can be found here.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

* courses must include a foundational level course and any 2 of the courses listed below:<\/p>\n
