The Certificate in Ministerial Education is an advanced program available to licensed Practitioners preparing for ministry within Centers for Spiritual Living.

About the Program

This program supports students in embracing, embodying, and teaching the principles of Science of Mind while preparing for diverse forms of ministry, including senior or staff ministry, Focus Ministry, Teaching Centers, chaplaincy training, and new models of ministry.

Students complete 23 required courses across Education, Leadership, Philosophy, Psychology, and Religion. Courses are offered through a campus model and may include synchronous campus-based or centralized regional courses, as well as asynchronous distance courses.

Program Structure

he Certificate in Ministerial Studies includes 21 four-unit courses and 2 two-unit courses, plus required practicums, annual retreats, and capstone exams. Students typically complete the program within two to four years, with up to six years allowed for completion.

Eligibility

The program is open to licensed Practitioners of Centers for Spiritual Living who meet the admission requirements outlined in the catalog. Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and maintain a current Practitioner license throughout ministerial training.
