Who can participate in Camp?<\/h2><\/div>

Camp is for teens 13 through 18\u00a0associated with a local CSL Community. To find a community near you, visit\u00a0CSL.org\/map.<\/a> Advisors are trained adults (19+) who facilitate the camp experience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What age range is camp for?<\/h2><\/div>

We define teens as anyone between the ages of 13 and 19 at the time of camp. The 18-year-old participants are considered teens and are given some additional responsibilities as well as opportunities at camp.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

If a participant is 19 and wants to be involved, we recommend they reach out to their CSL community in order to be trained and serve as an advisor.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What is the ratio of adults to teens at camp?<\/h2><\/div>

Teens must be accompanied by trained advisors. Advisors must be accompanied by teens. One advisor per four teens is required. Advisors may accompany teens from communities other than their own to meet the required ratio.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

How are medications handled at camp?<\/h2><\/div>

All medications, including over-the-counter medicines, must be in original containers and should be placed in a zipper bag with the camper\u2019s name and CSL community clearly written on the bag. Medicines will be turned in to the medical staff at camp.<\/p>\n

Neither youth nor advisor will be allowed to keep any medications with the exception as follows: Asthma inhalers, insulin and epi-pens will be allowed to be carried by the participant but will still need to be recorded in CampDoc prior to arrival.<\/p>\n

Any medications prescribed and\/or required after registration completes still need be submitted through CampDoc.\u00a0An extension can be requested on CampDoc to update medications.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Camp is comprised of a series of experiences planned by our elected teen leadership and adult leadership teams.\u00a0 Participants are broken into groups of around 8 people called families, each with a set of adult advisors that facilitate most of the “workshops” for the duration of camp.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

What if I don't have a local community?<\/h2><\/div>

We require linking up with a CSL community for a variety of reasons. We are happy to help connect you with a community who could help get your teen to camp.\u00a0 See\u00a0CSL.org\/map\/<\/a> for a list of CSL communities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

I have special dietary needs, will there be food for me at camp?<\/h2><\/div>

By default we typically have regular, vegetarian, and vegan options.\u00a0 We will work to accommodate all dietary restrictions and will work with you to make sure you are well fed at camp.\u00a0 Please make note of such restrictions in your registration.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What does bunking look like?<\/h2><\/div>

Each cabin will have at least two advisors and typically 8-10 teens and are grouped by the cabin selected on their registration. We also have non-binary\/non-gendered bunking. For more information, please see our Gender & Inclusion Policy.<\/a><\/p>\n

We recommend bringing a bedroll or sleeping bag and pillow to augment the mattress.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

This form is required for all participants to register and will be uploaded to CampDoc upon registration. You can scan and upload it or use the digital signing features.
