To be admitted to Advanced Consciousness Studies (ACS) or Professional Practitioner Studies (PPS) (known together as Professional Practitioner Training) you need to have completed the prerequisite selection of certificated courses. Rev. Dan Granda (he/him) is a passionate advocate for the courageous embrace of authenticity and vulnerability, envisioning a world where openness of the soul is not only accepted but celebrated. With a deep commitment to exploring the evolution of collective human consciousness, Rev. Dan consistently shares insights on the profound shifts occurring in our society, encouraging individuals to embrace their interconnectedness and the profound responsibility we hold towards each other and our communities.
As the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Soul Evolution Collaborative, a pioneering Teacher Center of the Centers for Spiritual Living, Rev. Dan leads with a vision of fostering meaningful connections and reshaping the way we approach life. SEC is dedicated to exploring new avenues of personal and communal growth, offering innovative strategies for living authentically and creating places of belonging for authentic, vulnerable, and genuine connection.
For over a decade, Rev. Dan has been an active force within the Centers for Spiritual Living, serving both locally and within the broader organization. A graduate of the esteemed Holmes Institute and School for Spiritual Leadership, Rev. Dan is also an ordained minister with the Centers for Spiritual Living, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep-seated commitment to fostering safe and brave spaces where authenticity and vulnerability can flourish, paving the way for meaningful connections and profound transformations.
What to know about ACS

Along with the application you will be required to submit a nonrefundable registration fee of $100. - You will need two letters of recommendation.
You will submit the names and email addresses for your two references during the application process. Your references will automatically be sent instructions for submitting their letters of recommendation. It is best that you contact them prior to submitting your application. Note, one must be from a CSL minister. It is recommended that other come from a teacher or practitioner that have been part of your journey. - Once this application is complete, we will send you a progress report. Confirm these records for accuracy.
If there are any discrepancies, let us know. You will be instructed to reach out to the community where classes were taken. The community will verify the coursework and complete the registration process. - Attend a “Back to School” session.
Each class has a mandatory “back to school” session that is part of a verification process for each student. You will have the opportunity to meet your teacher, teaching assistant, and the other students of the class in this fun, engaging, and informative event. - Consider Your Community Affiliation.
If you intend to continue on into Professional Practitioner Studies, please note that all licensed practitioners are required to be affiliated with a CSL member community. You will need to declare your community as part of the PPS application process next year. If you are not currently affiliated with a CSL member community, please take some time this year to consider where you would like your license to be held. You can find a community here. - Course Registration and Payment
Once you have completed the application process (including registration fee, letters of recommendation, approved progress report, attended the Back-to-School session, and are verified) you will be sent a link to register and pay for the course. You must complete the registration form before being officially added to the student roster for class. In addition, you have up to a week prior to the beginning of class to pay full tuition or commit to a payment play, including an initial payment at that time.Tuition for the full program is $900. In addition, there is a $100 registration fee (as mentioned above).
The registration fee must be paid at the time of application. Payment plans are available for tuition. Typically, these are divided up into three equal payments made at the beginning of each term.

About Your Teacher
With decades immersed in ministry and ministerial education, Reverend Dr. Bob Deen epitomizes a life dedicated to serving others. His journey encompasses a rich tapestry of experiences in religious education, pastoral counseling, and professional leadership. Ordained as a Religious Science Minister, Dr. Deen’s tenure includes notable roles such as President of Holmes Institute (2015-2018) and Manager of Professional Education (2013-2018) for Centers for Spiritual Living. His expertise spans pastoral psychotherapy, addiction treatment, and consulting for businesses and organizations. Embracing spiritual growth and community development, Dr. Deen has conducted workshops and retreats on diverse topics related to personal and spiritual transformation.
Dr. Deen’s educational background is equally robust, holding an undergraduate degree in Science Education. His exploration of the Science of Mind paved the way for a profound understanding of the interconnectedness between spirituality and science. Additionally, he earned a Master in Divinity Degree from Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, honing his skills as a pastoral counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist.
During the early 1970s, Dr. Deen contributed to multi-racial youth development programs in Harlem, NY, and Miami, Florida. He also played an active role in the Gay Liberation movement of the 1980s. Engaged in adult leadership for Centers for Spiritual Living’s teen programs, Dr. Deen remains committed to guiding young individuals towards self-discovery and embracing their inner light.
Dr. Deen’s fervor for education shines through his role as Senior Minister in Religious Science Churches across Florida, California, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. Since 1995, he has been instrumental in teaching spiritual development curriculum, mentoring practitioner students, overseeing graduate programs, and leading ministerial programs. His unwavering dedication to nurturing spiritual growth and empowering individuals to serve their communities underscores his significance as an educator.
In Dr. Deen’s own words, “I believe practitioners are the foundation on which this entire movement is built. I am excited to be facilitating students’ preparation for this important role.” His passion for preparing future leaders underscores his commitment to ensuring the continuity and vitality of spiritual communities.

You will be guided to answer only the appropriate questions for entering Professional Practitioner Studies. Along with the application you will be required to submit a nonrefundable registration fee of $100. - You will need to be affiliated with a CSL member community.
As part of the application for Professional Practitioner Studies, you will need to declare your affiliation with a member community. This will be the community that intends to hold your license after successful completion of the course, testing, and paneling. If you do not have an affiliation with a member community you may consider the Virtual Practitioner Program through CSL Home Office. - Attend a “Back to School” session.
