The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is a learning organization built upon an extraordinary legacy of excellence in artistic and creative development. Positioned in the middle of the stunning Canadian Rocky Mountains, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity aims to inspire everyone who steps foot on the ground – to unleash their creative potential. 

Nestled on the side of Tunnel Mountain and just five minutes from downtown, Banff Centre Hotel features newly renovated rooms and breathtaking vistas. 

Surrounded by pine, spruce, and fir forest, the Banff Centre Hotel encompasses two buildings.

  • Lloyd Hall incorporates vertical cedar fins on the outside and white-oak paneling on the inside to nestle you into the mountains. The large and unobstructed windows are your gateway to spectacular mountain vistas. The hotel is a living gallery, with Banff Centre resident artists showcased extensively within the rooms.

  • The guest rooms at the Professional Development Centre radiate warmth and comfort with fireplaces throughout the building. The hotel is designed with massive tree pillars and three wings that extend from a natural open courtyard. The lounges and meeting spaces are renowned for large windows and high vaulted ceilings that welcome in natural light.

All guests enjoy property-wide complimentary Wi-Fi, parking, admission to Banff Centre’s Walter Phillips Gallery, and PLUS Membership to the extensive fitness and recreation facilities. 

 

Discounted Hotel Rooms:

We have secured a limited number of discounted hotel rooms onsite at the Banff Centre hotel over the retreat dates. Below you will find the specific rate options

    • Run of House Rooms (King or 2 Bedded Based on Availability): $225.00 CDN
  • These rooms could be located in either building (Lloyd Hall or Professional Development Centre). 
    • Two-Bedded Rooms (Great for sharing!): $245.00 CDN
  • These rooms are located in the Professional Development Centre only. 

Guest room rate above are in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes and fees in effect at the time of the event including 2% TIF, 4%ATL, 5% GST and a discounted facility fee of $15 (Plus GST) per room per night.

The facility fee includes:

  • Campus-wide WIFI
  • Phone Calls Across North America
  • Access to Sally Borden Fitness Recreation Facilities 
  • Complimentary Self-Parking
  • Access to Banff Centre Library and Archives 
  • Access to Complimentary Arts & Programmed Events When Available 

The above guest room rates will be extended to cover the periods that are (3) days pre-event and 3 days post-event, subject to availability and not guaranteed. 

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. local time

Instructions For Booking:

Upon registering for SOAR 2025, you will receive an email confirmation with a special booking link to reserve your hotel rooms onsite at the venue at our special discounted rates. Guest rooms cannot be reserved ahead of registering for the event due to the limited availability. Any guest room reservations made ahead of registering for the event will be removed from the block and canceled.
