Annual Report Instructions
It’s Annual Report Season and time for you to fill out your required Annual Report. This is the time of year where you provide the necessary information and feedback for the growth and success of our member communities and the organization. Home Office exists to support you and to do this effectively we need your feedback! We thank you in advance for your time and attention to detail in completing your Annual Report.
More reasons to complete your Annual Report
The information in the reports allows the organization to assess where we are and where to direct our resources in the future. This is why it is so important to get accurate information from all affiliated communities. All report answers are consolidated to illustrate historical trends and provide feedback to improve provide support to you.
Centers for Spiritual Living, as a 501(c)3 organization, is required to gather and consolidate responses for the Annual Report in order to be in organizational financial compliance.
To Make Your Entry Experience Easier…
- Before beginning, download and review this pdf example of the Annual Report so that you can gather the information necessary to complete it.
- Your community’s report must be completed electronically, please do not attempt to complete your Annual Report on paper.
In addition, here are some things you will need to do and be aware of before beginning your Annual Report:
-
Make sure you have enough uninterrupted time to complete it in one sitting (although it is possible to save and come back later, it is a difficult process and we highly recommend doing it in one sitting).
- We advise that if you need to complete an Annual Report for more than one community, you use a different computer/laptop for each Annual Report.
When Registering Delegates:
-
The last step of the Annual Report will be entering your delegates for the 2026 election.
-
Please note, you will need to know the CSL ID of each delegate – click here to look it up (you will need your delegate’s email address as it appears on file with CSL to use the CSL ID # finder link).
-
If you look them up and they don’t have a CSL ID#, please click here to create a record for them. After you do this, you should be able to look up their ID# and enter them as a delegate.
-
-
You cannot access this delegate page again at a later date, so you must be ready to enter delegate information at the time you submit the Annual Report.
-
Delegates can only serve one community (or council/committee) in an election period. Please be sure you have spoken to all your delegates prior to submitting your Annual Report to be sure they are consenting to be delegates, aware of the responsibilities, and that they are not serving as a delegate somewhere else.
- Delegates do not need to be in-person during the annual meeting. All voting is electronic.
Determining Your Community’s Number of Delegates
- In all Member Communities (Centers, Teaching Centers, Focus Ministries and Teaching Chapters), the number of delegates for your community is determined by your “Average Weekly Attendance” for the last 12 months. Detailed information is found below on how to best determine your “Average Weekly Attendance,” including virtual and physical presence in services/events.
- Delegates are apportioned as follows:
- We understand counting attendance has changed over the last few years. We ask you to exercise your best judgement in determining how you define attendance. We recognize this may include both a physical and online presence. We have included some important things below to consider when determining your attendance.
-
Weekly service/event attendance includes both adults and children present.
-
When reviewing online attendance, please be aware that there are several different types of engagements that may be a factor in your “Average Weekly Attendance” number. It’s important to understand the different types when calculating your average attendance. Here are some of the common terms with their definitions:
-
Reach – your post ended up in someone’s feed (may or may not have been engaged with)
-
3-second views – someone paused momentarily to watch 3 second or less of your video
-
Interactions – someone interacted with your post by liking, making a comment, sharing it, etc.
-
1-minute Views – Someone watched for 1 minute or more of your video
-
Live Viewers (FB Live, YouTube, Zoom, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) – number of people watching or participating live online during the service/event
-
Now that you have an idea of what some engagement types are, you can more accurately determine your online attendance. Some of these engagement types are measurable and applicable in this context, while others are not. Use your best judgement as the spirit of this is to be counting people who are truly engaged in your services/events.
We recommend counting live views and 1-minute views. We do NOT recommend counting 3-second views or reach. We recognize that there is a large gray area on this spectrum between 3-second views and watching the entire event live. Again, use your best judgement.
Completing Your Community’s Report
- Only one report can be submitted per community.
- All reports must be submitted with delegate roster no later than October 31, 2025
- To Find Your Community in the Annual Report: The first page of the Annual Report includes a dropdown menu listing all Centers for Spiritual Living communities. To find your community, begin by typing your formal community name without abbreviations, select your community from the list, and then proceed by clicking “Next.”
- We have found it is helpful to clear your browser history and/or cache (especially if you have filled out reports for previous years)
-
Use your laptop or desktop, not a tablet or phone
